The conservation of Arctic grayling in the Big Hole River watershed and the reintroduction of grayling into historic waters will require a level of effort and cooperation beyond the scope of
most conservation efforts initiated in the United States. In the Big Hole watershed alone, we are working with 31 individual landowners who collectively own about 157,200 acres of land in a watershed that's half the size of Yellowstone Park. To recover grayling
in the Big Hole, we will implement a multitude of projects, each of which may cost several thousand dollars.
